Analysts have found out how pork prices have increased during the barbecue season.

Pork prices in Ukraine began to rise in early May. This happened due to increased demand for this meat during the picnic season. Juiciness and delicious taste make pork one of the most popular meat categories on the market. According to AgroWeek, this has led to a rise in prices for key cuts of pork compared to the previous month.
For example, prices for pork belly and shoulder have increased by 10-15 hryvnias per kilogram, while the price for pork neck has significantly increased and now stands at 330 hryvnias per kilogram. Prices for pork ribs and shashlik have also risen compared to last month.
Analysts assert that the Ukrainian pork market is experiencing a general trend of rising prices in the summer months.
Thus, the rise in pork prices in Ukraine is linked to the start of the picnic season and increased demand for this meat in warm weather.
