Due to blocked cars, the ambulance in Odesa barely made it to the call.

Due to traffic congestion on the streets of Odesa, the ambulance could not reach a 14-year-old girl in Time who needed urgent help after drowning. The medics who saved her life emphasize that this issue is systemic in the city.
Ambulance in traffic
The ambulance crew was frequently suffering from traffic jams at the 16th station of the Big Fountain while rushing to the call to assist the girl in critical condition. Struggling through the chaos of cars, the medics managed to provide assistance to the patient, but even after that, they were hit by another traffic jam that hindered their swift transport of the girl to the hospital.
'We appeal to all road traffic participants, to vacationers, to those responsible for organizing traffic in coastal areas: when you park 'for a minute', when you block the passage or entry, when you do not think that someone might be dying in the ambulance — you might be depriving someone of a chance for life. The golden rule of emergency aid is 10 minutes. This is ideally how much time should pass from the call to the arrival of the crew.',— the medics urge.
The ambulance workers add that such situations are not exceptions in Odesa, but have a systemic nature.
We remind that recently we wrote about organ transplantation at the 'Okhmatdyt' hospital. As well as about the financing of medicine in Ukraine.
This news describes a case when the ambulance nearly failed to save a patient due to traffic jams and parked cars. Medics emphasize systemic problems with access to the scene of the call, urging all road traffic participants to adhere to the rules and take care of emergency assistance if necessary.
