Additional assistance for lonely pensioners: how to receive almost 1000 hryvnias monthly.

Ukrainian pensioners will receive an additional payment
Starting from November 2024, a new social initiative will be launched in Ukraine, aimed at supporting lonely pensioners. According to the new Law of Ukraine and government decision, certain categories of pensioners will receive a monthly supplement of 944 hryvnias.
According to information from the relevant authority, the right to receive an additional payment is granted to individuals who have reached the age of 80, live independently, and have a constant need for external care, which is confirmed by medical conclusions.
An important condition is receiving an old-age pension. It is worth noting that individuals receiving other types of pensions, such as disability pensions, are not covered by this program.
The supplement amount is calculated as 40% of the subsistence minimum for incapacitated persons, which from January 2024 amounts to 2361 hryvnias. Thus, the size of the monthly increment is 944.4 hryvnias. In November, this indicator will remain unchanged.
To receive the additional payment, it will be necessary to provide a package of documents, which includes a medical conclusion of the medical advisory commission regarding the need for constant care, a passport, an identification code, and a certificate from the Pension Fund about the absence of other care supplements.
