The European Union urges countries to cooperate in arms procurement

Von der Leyen emphasized that member countries must be able to utilize European supply chains during urgent needs. She also highlighted the necessity of creating a single market for defense equipment in Europe by 2030.
According to Von der Leyen, sustained investment and a stable flow of orders are needed to develop the European defense industry. She also urged member countries to purchase more European equipment.
The President of the European Commission stressed the need to develop a functional network of transport corridors, airports, and seaports in Europe for the rapid movement of troops and equipment. She also underscored the importance of investing in air and missile defense, artillery systems, and missiles.
Von der Leyen stated that the security of Europe is indivisible, so the European Union is working to strengthen security together with its partners from the United Kingdom, G7, and other countries. She kept the door open for countries outside the EU to join these efforts.
