A French farmer found 150 tons of gold on his land.

The farmer discovered gold nuggets while inspecting his own property
52-year-old farmer Michel Dupont discovered gold nuggets in a stream in the French region of Auvergne. According to 'Glavcom', this was reported by the newspaper La Grada Online.
The man accidentally found gold while inspecting his piece of land.
'I was just checking the soil and saw a strange shine in the stream. When I started digging, I couldn't believe my eyes,' the man said.
Preliminary estimates suggest that there could be up to 150 tons of gold beneath his farm, worth around 3.5 billion euros.
However, Dupont cannot take even a gram for himself. As soon as news about the gold ore on the land emerged, the French authorities promptly intervened, prohibiting the farmer from extracting the precious metal.
According to French law, minerals belong to the state, even if they are located under private land. Starting the extraction process will require years of environmental assessments and approvals.
As a reminder, at the end of last month, the price of gold briefly exceeded $3500 per ounce. This spike was caused by sharp criticism from Donald Trump of the Chair of the U.S. Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, which led to investor concerns and an increase in demand for safe assets.
Moreover, market analysts expect further increases in bitcoin's value soon, including the possibility of it reaching a new price record.
