The European Union and the United States have determined the sizes of their contributions to the G7 credit for Ukraine amounting to 50 billion dollars. This credit will be granted from frozen Russian assets.
According to 'European Truth', the EU Council has approved the mechanism for allocating Ukraine a credit of up to 35 billion euros. The decision will come into effect after its publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
Deputy National Security Advisor of the White House, Daleep Singh, confirmed that the USA will provide 20 billion dollars as part of this credit. According to him, the American administration plans to split its share between military and financial assistance.
It is worth noting that Ukraine will not be obliged to repay this loan as it will be financed not by EU member states. The funds will also be non-targeted, allowing Ukraine to allocate them at its discretion.
The United Kingdom has also approved its contribution of about 3 billion dollars.
