President of the UN General Assembly Dennis Francis stated that the organization has no ability to force Russia to follow the UN Charter and international law, but calls for their compliance. He also reminded that the General Assembly has adopted resolutions calling on the Russian Federation to respect the law and withdraw troops from Ukraine. Francis emphasized that Russian aggression is a violation of international law that cannot be tolerated. He also warned that this precedent could become dangerous if other countries follow Russia's example.
