Who can apply for a housing subsidy: list.

The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine explained who can receive a housing subsidy. This support is provided if a family spends more on utilities than the established mandatory amount.
The subsidy is calculated individually for each household depending on the income per person, property status, and consumption standards. If a family consumes more utilities than the established standard, they will pay for this from their own funds.
Eligible for a housing subsidy are:
- registered persons;
- tenants by rental agreement;
- persons actually residing in the premises, even without a rental agreement;
- children who are under guardianship or who have been left without parental care;
- individual developers whose houses have not yet been commissioned.
When assigning a subsidy, the income of all registered persons, as well as husbands and wives living in the premises, is taken into account. However, the application must contain information about all persons actually residing in the apartment or house.
According to a statement by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the budget has sufficient funds to pay subsidies, so everyone in need of this assistance will receive it fully.
Additionally, a new support program was announced for pensioners living in combat zones or dangerous areas and receiving a pension of less than 3.25 thousand hryvnias. This program will be funded by the United Nations World Food Programme until the end of 2024.
