Israel Launches Large-Scale Strikes on Hamas Targets in Gaza (Updated).

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz are demanding active action from the IDF against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Israeli military aircraft carried out a nighttime attack over Gaza, followed by powerful explosions. These airstrikes are the most intense since the ceasefire began. Israeli security forces stated that such actions became necessary after Hamas refused to release the hostages. Overall, more than 200 people have died as a result of the airstrikes. Recall that U.S. President Trump also threatened Hamas and the residents of Gaza, extending greetings to Hamas and calling for the release of all hostages and the return of the remains of the deceased.

Israel and Hamas reached a ceasefire agreement on January 19, which involves the gradual withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and a hostage exchange. The agreement was the result of lengthy negotiations mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the U.S. However, Hamas has not fulfilled the demands to release hostages, leading to active actions by Israel and airstrikes throughout the Gaza Strip.
Trump emphasized that if Hamas does not release the hostages by January 20, hell will break loose in the Middle East. Currently, the situation remains tense.
