The Finnish Ministry of Defense predicts a prolonged threat from the RF even after the war in Ukraine ends.

The Finnish Minister of Defense Antti Hykkänen stated that even after the war in Ukraine, Russia and its allies will remain a danger to Europe. According to Hykkänen, the strengthening of cooperation between Russia and North Korea, Iran, and China poses long-term risks.
Russia, along with its allies, will remain a dangerous player in Europe even after the war in Ukraine, and we cannot exclude the possibility that they will threaten European countries with military force - he said.
Finland published a review of its defense policy after joining NATO, which recommends focusing on strengthening national defense and cooperation with individual allies.
Finland's main allies are Sweden, Norway, the USA, Britain, and Estonia - Hykkänen cited Reuters.
In addition, Finland collaborates with South Korea, Israel, and Japan in the field of defense material supply.
According to the review, Finland will continue to allocate at least 2% of its GDP to defense, as required by NATO.
Other countries, such as the Baltic states and Poland, will allocate between 3.2% and 4.7%, while Sweden and Norway plan to reach 2.6% by 2030.
Finland shares a common border with Russia, which is currently closed for travel due to accusations against Moscow of orchestrating illegal migration to Europe.
