Ministry of Defense organizes land resources: 8,500 hectares of land registered in 2024.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has already registered 8,500 hectares of land in the State Land Cadastre by 2024. These lands will be used for the development of military infrastructure and to meet the needs of the Armed Forces.
The Ministry of Defense has registered 133 plots of land that were previously not formalized according to the requirements of Ukraine's independence and were in legal proceedings.
-'The Ministry of Defense currently has 469,000 hectares of land in its possession (excluding temporarily occupied territories), of which 88% have already been registered in state registers. We continue the systematic work on the organization and registration of real estate of the Ministry of Defense. This will ensure effective land use and prevent their unlawful alienation in the future,' said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Serhiy Melnyk.
Currently, the Ministry of Defense, together with the State Property Fund, continues to obtain real estate for the placement of units of the Armed Forces. There is also cooperation with local authorities to reduce the tax burden on the Ministry of Defense.
In 2024, 382 territorial communities provided tax benefits to the Ministry of Defense. 345 communities made decisions for a 100% exemption from land tax, resulting in savings of 2.2 billion hryvnias.
