Dairy Prices Rise Again: How Milk, Cheese, and Butter Prices Changed in April.


In April, prices for dairy products in Ukraine rose again, making them less accessible for consumers. Prices for milk, cheese, and butter are increasing, and people have to carefully plan their spending on these products.
According to price monitoring data from the largest retail chains, the cost of milk continues to rise. Milk from ProstoNashe with 1% fat (900 ml) now costs an average of 52.42 UAH, which is 0.32 UAH more than in March. The price of milk varies significantly across different stores: in Metro, it can be purchased for 47.53 UAH, while in Megamarket, it costs 57.30 UAH, the material states.
Interestingly, the prices for Yagotynske milk with different fat content showed different dynamics. For example, the price for Yagotynske milk with 2.6% fat decreased from 55.86 UAH in March to 50.28 UAH in April. However, this decrease may be a temporary phenomenon.
Prices for cheese and butter also increased. For instance, the price for ProstoNashe cheese with 9% fat (300 g) rose from 93.28 UAH to 96.35 UAH. This increase has been especially felt by families with children, where cheese is an important food product.
It was previously reported that a new inflation peak was reached in Ukraine.
In the country, the prices for essential dairy products continue to rise, making them less accessible to a wide range of consumers. For example, the price for milk from ProstoNashe with 1% fat increased by 0.32 UAH compared to the previous month. The price situation varies in different stores - milk in Megamarket costs almost 10 UAH more than in Metro. Prices for cheese and butter have also risen. Analyzing the material, one can conclude that inflation for dairy products has increased, indicating a general rise in the cost of living in Ukraine. This allows us to understand that consumers are increasingly finding it difficult to provide themselves with quality and affordable food.
