Operator is not working: Ukrainians were explained how to switch mobile networks.

The press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported the importance of national roaming. This service allows users to switch to the network of another operator when there is no signal from the main operator. About a million Ukrainians use this service daily, and during power outages, the number of connections doubles. National roaming provides basic services such as calls, SMS, and messaging apps. The Ministry of Digital Transformation has made a video that explains in detail how to set up national roaming.
For example, lifecell users can connect to the Vodafone or Kyivstar networks for free if their own network is not working, and vice versa. This allows them to stay connected and use basic services.
National roaming can be automatically activated, which can be seen from the change in the network name on the phone. However, it is also possible to set up national roaming manually in just a few clicks. For iPhone, you need to go to 'Settings' → 'Cellular' → 'Network Selection'. For Android - go to 'Settings' → 'Connections' → 'Mobile Networks' → 'Network Operators'. It is also possible to set up national roaming on some feature phones through the network settings menu.
To improve the functioning of national roaming on your phone, we recommend turning off auto-download of media files in messaging apps and background internet usage for apps and updates.
