During the weekend attacks, the State Emergency Service involved a record number of rescuers to eliminate the consequences.


Massive Combined Strikes from Russia on Ukraine
Russia launched massive combined strikes on Ukraine over the weekend. This was one of the largest rescue operations conducted since the beginning of the invasion. More than 1250 rescuers and almost 280 units of equipment from the State Emergency Service participated in eliminating the consequences. One of the attacks occurred during the night of May 25-26, during which over 925 specialists and 200 units of equipment were active.
As a result of the strikes, residential areas were mostly affected, including private houses and high-rise buildings, in 19 populated localities across 9 regions. Unfortunately, 14 people died, including three children from one family in the Zhytomyr region; 69 individuals were injured. Objects were also destroyed in Kyiv and the regions of Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Odesa.
In the night of May 25, Russia conducted intensive attacks using drones and missiles. 34 populated localities in 12 regions were affected, including Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv. Attacks were also reported on another 21 populated localities in 11 regions, with casualties in Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, and Donetsk regions, as well as in Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Sumy regions, where the railway infrastructure and rolling stock were attacked.
