Russia plans to ignite war in the Caucasus against Azerbaijan – intelligence.

Russia is actively strengthening its military base in the city of Gyumri, bringing in servicemen from various regions, including Crimea. This is obviously part of the Kremlin's strategy to increase military pressure on the Southern Caucasus countries, particularly Azerbaijan.
A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense explained that the deployment of Russian troops in Armenia is part of Moscow's plan to destabilize the situation in the Caucasus. Additionally, there is mobilization of volunteers in the region, particularly in North Ossetia and Adygea.
"With the growth of interethnic conflict, Moscow is increasing its military presence in the Caucasus. The aggravation of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia was likely planned in advance," emphasized the representative of the GUR MO.
Recently, Azerbaijan reacted harshly to these steps by Russia, canceling all cultural events organized by Russian institutions. There were also searches conducted at the branch of the Russian agency 'Sputnik-Azerbaijan', during which two FSB agents of Russia were detained.
Thus, Russia continues to strengthen its military presence in Armenia, which may lead to further aggravation of relations with Azerbaijan and other Southern Caucasus countries.
The increase of Russia's military presence in Armenia has not gone unnoticed by Azerbaijan, leading to heightened tensions between the two countries. This may also affect the situation in the region, causing additional risks to stability in the Southern Caucasus.
