The Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Alexey Shchevtsov, reported that in 2024, over 208 thousand 'particularly dangerous' cyberattacks were launched against Russian critical infrastructure. This information was disclosed during the I International Conference of CSTO member states on cybersecurity.

«In 2024, over 208 thousand particularly dangerous cyberattacks were carried out against Russian critical infrastructure,» Shchevtsov is quoted as saying in Russian media.

During the meeting, representatives of the CSTO countries emphasized the importance of discussing issues related to ensuring the security of the global information and communication environment, as well as exchanging experiences in protecting national interests. The CSTO unites Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Armenia.
