According to Kyiv Post, Malian Tuareg rebels decided to express their gratitude to Ukraine after defeating Wagner mercenaries in Africa. A unique photo showing Tuaregs posing with the Ukrainian flag demonstrates their support for Ukraine.
According to sources in the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine, this photograph is authentic and taken after the successful defeat of the Wagner terrorists' convoy. The battle occurred in the town of Tinzaouatene near the Mali-Algeria border, where at least 20 Wagner militants were killed, and others were taken prisoner.
Result of a Successful Military Operation
A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Andriy Yusov, confirmed that the "rebels received the necessary information that allowed them to conduct a successful military operation against Russian war criminals." Details of the operation are currently not disclosed, but it is promised that there will be a continuation.
Accusations against GUR
Russia accuses the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine of involvement in the defeat of the Wagner convoy in Mali. Russian propagandists mention the name of the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov.
