Scout Vadym managed to escape captivity and continue the fight against the occupiers
Ukrainian scout from the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky, nicknamed Vados, managed to escape captivity and returned to his own. He shared his story on the page of his brigade on Facebook.
Before the war, Vadym worked at a tobacco factory but decided to defend his homeland. He went through a tough road in intelligence, but thanks to his skills and determination, he emerged alive and unscathed even from a hopeless situation.
According to Vadym, this happened in August. They were covering the road near Donetsk region and encountered an outnumbered enemy. Vados was captured, and the Russians ordered him to be shot. It was then that one of the Buryats, who was in captivity with Vadym, decided to help him to use him as a human shield. Eventually, they managed to reach their positions.
Vadym was interrogated by the occupiers, but he lied, trying to survive. Then he was taken to their positions, but during the shelling, he decided to escape. Thanks to his accuracy and resilience, Vadym managed to survive and return to his unit. He took up arms and started shooting at his former enemies.
Vadym managed to escape from captivity to his unit only at night. His unit no longer hoped for his return, thinking he had died.
Previously, Vadym spoke about what the occupiers most often discuss on the radio.
Conversations of the occupiers were also intercepted, where they talked about the killings and rapes of civilians by Russian soldiers.
One of the Russian soldiers also spoke about the abuse of Ukrainian military and takes pride in his crimes.
