US sanctions against the Russian tanker fleet show signs of easing.

According to Bloomberg, US sanctions against the Russian tanker fleet, which were imposed a year ago, are beginning to have a positive effect on Moscow. Several ships from the blacklist were the first to set sail from the port after loading.
According to the agency's report, such actions by Washington have seriously limited Russia's ability to transport oil and obtain funds to finance the military conflict in Ukraine. However, in recent days, three sanctioned vessels managed to load Russian oil of the Pacific grade and depart from the country's main port. Satellite images also indicate that more and more vessels are leaving anchorages to the west of the port of Nakhodka, where they have been since the sanctions were imposed.
'This opens up opportunities for the Russian side to deliver oil worldwide and reduce transportation costs, undermining the country's oil revenues. The more tankers that can be brought into operation, the more Russia will be able to bypass the measures that have been taken by the West. The volume of oil flow from all Russian ports over the last four weeks reached 3.37 million barrels per day, the highest level since 2013,' the article states.
If Trump decides to lift the sanctions, unloading problems in Russia could decrease.
