Special electricity tariffs - who can pay less in July.

From June 2024, new electricity tariffs came into effect in the country. According to them, the basic cost of one kilowatt-hour is 4.32 hryvnias. This tariff will remain unchanged at least until October 31, 2025, or until the next review.
In Ukraine, a preferential price for electricity is provided for certain categories of the population, but it only applies during the heating season and is not available to everyone.
Consumers who use only electricity for heating have the right to benefits and pay 2.64 UAH per kilowatt. However, this price is maintained only if the monthly consumption does not exceed 2000 kilowatt-hours.
Thus, during the period from September 30 to June 1, they can pay a reduced tariff within the established limit.
How Ukrainians can reduce their electricity costs
One way to save is to switch to a night tariff. Its essence is that during the night hours (from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM), when the energy system experiences the least load, the price of electricity is halved.
To take advantage of this option, it is necessary to submit an appropriate application to the electricity supplier and install a two-zone meter.
Assistance in the form of subsidies can be received by those citizens whose utility expenses exceed 15% of the total family income. This allows for a reduction in the total payment for housing and communal services, including electricity.
During the heating season in Ukraine, preferential electricity tariffs operate for consumers who use it for heating their homes. Such individuals can take advantage of the benefit and pay significantly less for electricity, which helps to reduce monthly expenses. Additionally, there are other ways to rationalize electricity consumption, for example, switching to a night tariff or applying for a subsidy to support financially vulnerable citizens.Read also
