USA delays Patriot supplies to Switzerland due to assistance to Ukraine.

The USA has sent a message to Switzerland about the delay of delivery of Patriot air defense systems due to prioritizing the needs of Ukraine.
Why the USA is postponing Patriot supplies to Switzerland
An agreement between Switzerland and the United States for the purchase of five Patriot systems was concluded back in 2022. According to the initial plan, the deliveries were to begin in 2027 and end in 2028.
However, according to the Pentagon, Switzerland is among the countries that 'suffer due to changing priorities' in the supply of Patriot systems.
'It is currently unclear how many systems this delay pertains to or whether it is also related to the supply of guided missiles. Clarification is expected, and all efforts will be made to determine the circumstances,' the Swiss Ministry of Defense reported.
Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the first missiles for the Patriot system have already been delivered to the countries of the European Union. Later, this modern defense weapon will also be transferred to Ukraine.
Furthermore, the American leader is considering the possibility of supplying long-range JASSM missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukraine is forcing the USA to reconsider priorities in the supply of defense equipment, while Switzerland is waiting for a resolution on the issue of Patriot system supplies.
