In one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, legionnaires from China are fighting.

Two military personnel from China have joined the 110th brigade of UAV systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They arrived in Ukraine to fight for its freedom, despite the language barrier and difficulties. This was reported by the brigade's press service.
One of the military, Tim, is 42 years old. He was an electrical engineer in China and brought his family here - a wife and two children. They already live in Bucha.
Ivor, another Chinese national, is 45 years old and worked in the construction industry. He has visited Odesa, Lviv, and Kyiv and has seen many consequences of the war.
'I felt that this aggressive war is unjust. We should not put up with dictatorship and aggression; we must defend peace,' Ivor stated.
The Chinese understand that Ukraine has a rich history and realize that Ukrainians are friendlier and more tolerant than Russians. They believe that Ukraine is defending its land, freedom, and dignity, while Russia is waging a senseless war in pursuit of enrichment.
The Chinese communicate with the commander and their brothers in the armed forces in English, using a phone translator or gestures. They have already learned a few Ukrainian words, such as 'delicious', 'milk', 'good day', and 'thank you'. They plan to stay in Ukraine in the future.
In particular, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law allowing foreigners to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in officer positions.
Earlier, parliament approved a bill allowing foreigners and stateless persons to serve under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Transport Service, and the National Guard of Ukraine.
