A Ukrainian beaten to death in Slovakia: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not rule out the motive of ethnic hatred.

In Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, a homeless Ukrainian was brutally beaten, resulting in his death. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha.
According to ta3.com, the incident occurred near the Nivy shopping center. The man was caught stealing in the New Yorker store. Surveillance footage showed him being beaten inside the store's premises.
The Ukrainian, suffering from severe head and body injuries, was hospitalized but died on January 31. Doctors suggest that the injuries may result from an armed attack.
Sybiha does not rule out the possibility of an ethnic hatred motive:
«Shocked by the tragic death of a citizen of Ukraine in Bratislava. We cannot rule out ethnic hatred as one of the reasons for this crime. Our embassy has already contacted the Slovak police and the ombudsman at my direct request. We demand an independent investigation free from any suspicions and accountability for those responsible».
We recall that in the Italian region of Lombardy, the police in the city of Como detained a 54-year-old citizen of Belarus who attacked truck drivers in a parking lot. The man threatened other drivers with a knife simply because he overheard a Ukrainian accent during their conversation.
