Ukraine to receive over a thousand 'smart' bombs from France.

France plans to produce over a thousand 'smart' air bombs for Ukraine. According to Le Parisien, France has committed to delivering 1200 AASM Hammer guided bombs as defense aid to Ukraine. Last year, Ukraine received 830 similar sets from France.
According to the article, the AASM Hammer, a modular weapon of the 'air-to-ground' class, has become a favorite weapon of Ukrainian military aircraft, and the production of these bombs in France has quadrupled since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The article also reports that after the release of 830 bombs in 2024, 1200 bombs are planned to be released in 2025.
The French company Safran is engaged in the production of modular air bombs. This company is a large industrial-technology group specializing in the design and manufacture of aircraft engines, helicopters, missiles, and various aviation equipment.
Experts explained that the AASM Hammer bomb has a modular structure, consisting of a guidance system located at the front of the bomb, and a power unit located at the rear of the bomb on fighter jets. This design makes the bomb 'insensitive to enemy jamming' and provides navigation to the target.
Analyzing the material, it is worth noting that the supply of 'smart' air bombs from France is evidence of support and rapprochement between France and Ukraine in the field of security. It also indicates the growing need of Ukraine for such weapons, which are necessary in the conditions of military aggression from Russia.
