Ukraine synchronized its energy system with ENTSO-E.

Ukraine became part of the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity ENTSO-E
According to Ukrenergo, Ukraine has successfully joined the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E), which is an example of effective cooperation with Europe's energy sector.
According to the company, Ukraine's energy system was disconnected from the networks of Russia and Belarus several hours before the final invasion. For three weeks, during active hostilities, Ukraine lived separately from the Russians and Europeans. But on March 16, 2022, with the help of testing, it was possible to connect to the continental European energy system. This was reported by Vitaliy Zaichenko, a member of the board of NEC 'Ukrenergo', during a conference dedicated to the 15th anniversary of ENTSO-E.
'The synchronization of the energy systems of Ukraine and Moldova with ENTSO-E is more than a technical event. It demonstrates the strength of international partnership and shared values. This cooperation highlights the vital role of energy solidarity in ensuring resilience and stability during crises. I want to thank our colleagues again for the assistance we continue to receive,' said Vitaliy Zaichenko.
This swift entry was made possible thanks to the fruitful preparations of NEC 'Ukrenergo' and generating companies since 2008, as well as the readiness to cooperate with European partners.
Synchronization has allowed Ukraine to withstand the blows of Russian missiles. From December 1, the country can import electricity from neighboring countries at a maximum level of 2100 MW and receive 250 MW of emergency assistance. This is of great importance amid the war and constant attacks on the Ukrainian energy system. Colleagues from the European Union are studying Ukraine's experience in countering Russian aggression and actively using the developments of NEC 'Ukrenergo' to protect and enhance the resilience of their energy systems.
