Rental prices for real estate in Ukraine and Europe have significant differences.
Last year, rental rates in Ukraine increased but remain significantly lower than in European countries. For example, on average in Ukraine, one can rent a one-bedroom apartment for 234 euros per month, while in the EU, the price exceeds 1000 euros.
Despite rising prices, the demand for rental housing in Ukraine remains high.
The most expensive rentals are in Kyiv, Lviv, and Uzhhorod. The highest prices are observed in Kyiv for large apartments.
The demand for rentals is high, leading to shorter times for apartments to be listed on the market.
The situation with rental availability varies across different cities. The most affordable rentals are in Kharkiv, while the highest costs are in Uzhhorod.
According to the platforms LUN and OLX, the demand for rental housing in Ukraine is increasing, with the highest market activity observed in August.
The main criteria for tenants when choosing housing are price, neighborhood, proximity to transport and work, availability of heating, and other factors.
Most regional centers in Ukraine have recorded an increase in rental rates, except for Rivne.
Uzhhorod tops the list for the cost of renting one-bedroom apartments, with high prices also in Kyiv and Lviv.
Kharkiv has the lowest prices for renting one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
Overall statistics indicate the growth of the rental housing market in Ukraine.
