12.5 million people will be employed in Ukraine: who will be affected by the initiative.

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has developed a plan aimed at attracting economically inactive people to the labor market through retraining and upgrading qualifications.
According to the Ministry, currently 13.3 million citizens are employed in Ukraine, 1 million are actively seeking work, and 12.5 million remain unemployed.
The Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Tetiana Berezhna, explained that this group may include students, people managing a household, retirees who have reached retirement age but can still work, women on maternity leave, and people with disabilities.
The government has already implemented special training programs based on vocational education centers of the State Employment Service to realize this initiative.
These centers have the capacity to train up to two hundred thousand specialists annually according to the needs of businesses. The program is aimed at those who cannot find work due to the incompatibility of their professional skills with current market demands or due to the lack of necessary education.
The main goal of the initiative of the Ministry of Economy is to reduce the unemployment rate and provide businesses with qualified personnel, giving citizens the opportunity to master demanding professions and return to active employment.
Earlier, plans were announced to launch chip production in Ukraine.
