The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported that forecasters anticipate frost down to -5 degrees.

On May 2, the weather in Ukraine will be mostly clear with some light clouds. No precipitation is expected, except for the extreme east and Crimea, where a small amount of rain may fall at night.

However, at night in the north and most of the western and central regions, ground frosts from 0 to -5 degrees are expected. This cold night is due to the arrival of arctic air from the north after the passage of a cold atmospheric front, which will also lead to an increase in atmospheric pressure and a decrease in cloudiness.

A northwestern wind with a speed of 5-10 m/s is expected.

At night, the temperature will range from 1 to 6 degrees above zero, with ground frosts of 0-5 degrees in the north, most of the western and central regions. In the southern part of the country, it will be 5-10 degrees above zero. During the day, the temperature will rise to 11-16 degrees, and in the west and southwest to 16-21 degrees.

In Kyiv and the surrounding area, a slight cloudiness is expected with no precipitation. The wind will be northwestern at a speed of 5-10 m/s.

In Kyiv region, night temperatures will be from 1 to 6 degrees above zero, with ground frosts of 0-5 degrees. During the day, the temperature will rise to 11-16 degrees. In the capital at night, it will be 3-5 degrees above zero, and 14-16 degrees during the day.

Forecasters also warn of an extreme fire hazard level from May 2 to 4, except for Crimea, Lviv region, and Volyn and Rivne regions from May 3 to 4.

At the beginning of May, the forecaster talked about the weather.

Analysis

According to the forecast of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, cold weather with a decrease in surface temperature is expected at night the next day in Ukraine. This is due to the arrival of arctic air and the passage of a cold atmospheric front. Such weather conditions may lead to frosts and light rain in some regions of the country. In addition, an extreme fire hazard level has been warned in certain areas. The population should be cautious and follow necessary safety measures.
