According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of October 1, 2024, the losses of the Russian occupiers have been updated.
Russia's losses in the war as of October 1, 2024
The Russian Federation has suffered the following losses from the war with Ukraine:
- personnel – about 654430 (+1370) people,
- tanks – 8883 (+9) units,
- armored fighting vehicles – 17547 (+44) units,
- artillery systems – 18855 (+33) units,
- MLRS – 1204 (+0) units,
- air defense systems – 963 (+0) units,
- aircraft – 369 (+0) units,
- helicopters – 328 (+0) units,
- operational-tactical UAVs – 16322 (+98),
- cruise missiles – 2613 (+3) units,
- ships/boats – 28 (+0) units,
- submarines – 1 (+0) unit,
- vehicles and tankers – 25621 (+73) units,
- special equipment – 3314 (+1).

Occupant fleet activity as of October 1
- In the Black Sea, there is one enemy ship, which is a carrier of "Kalibr" cruise missiles with the capability of launching up to four missiles.
- There are no enemy ships in the Sea of Azov.
- In the Mediterranean Sea, there is one enemy ship, which is a carrier of "Kalibr" cruise missiles with the capability of launching up to 16 missiles.
During the day, the following ship movements were recorded through the Kerch Strait:
- to the Black Sea – six ships, of which three continued towards the Bosphorus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov – eight ships, of which four were moving from the Bosphorus Strait.
The Russian Federation continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1974 by disabling automatic identification systems (AIS).
As of now, the war in Ukraine has been ongoing for 951 days on a full scale.
