Russia's losses in the war as of April 20, 2025
According to investigation data, as of April 20, the Russian Federation has suffered the following losses in the war with Ukraine:
- approximately 941100 (+950) personnel,
- 10677 (+1) tanks,
- 22271 (+5) armored combat vehicles,
- 26649 (+49) artillery systems,
- 1368 (+0) multiple launch rocket systems,
- 1139 (+0) anti-aircraft systems,
- 370 (+0) aircraft,
- 335 (+0) helicopters,
- 33240 (+64) operational-tactical UAVs,
- 3148 (+0) cruise missiles,
- 28 (+0) ships / boats,
- 1 (+0) submarine,
- 45274 (+112) automotive vehicles and tank trucks,
- 3859 (+1) special equipment.
Enemy fleet activity as of April 20
- In the Black Sea, one enemy ship has been registered, which carries Kalibr cruise missiles totaling up to six missiles.
- No enemy ships are present in the Sea of Azov.
- In the Mediterranean Sea, two enemy ships are operating, which carry Kalibr cruise missiles totaling up to 12 missiles.
During the day, the Russian military passed through the Kerch Strait:
- six vessels to the Black Sea, two of which continued to move towards the Bosphorus Strait;
- six vessels to the Sea of Azov, four of which continued to move from the Bosphorus Strait.
It is known that the war in Ukraine has lasted for 1152 days.
Analysis:
As of April 20, 2025, Russia continues to suffer significant losses in the war with Ukraine. In addition to material losses, the Russian Federation has also lost a considerable number of personnel. The total number of losses for Russia includes tanks, combat vehicles, artillery systems, and other military equipment.
