According to the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of January 4, 2025, Russia has suffered losses from the war with Ukraine.

According to the data, the Russian Federation has lost the following military equipment:
- personnel - approximately 794760 (+1510) persons,
- tanks - 9679 (+2) units,
- armored fighting vehicles - 20093 (+23) units,
- artillery systems - 21578 (+23) units,
- MLRS - 1257 (+0) units,
- air defense systems - 1032 (+0) units,
- aircraft - 369 (+0) units,
- helicopters - 331 (+1) units,
- tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles - 21356 (+107),
- cruise missiles - 3006 (+3),
- ships / boats - 28 (+0) units,
- submarines - 1 (+0) unit,
- automotive vehicles and tank trucks - 32843 (+73) units,
- special equipment - 3675 (+0).
Activity of the enemy fleet as of January 4
- In the Black Sea, there is one enemy ship that is a carrier of the 'Caliber' cruise missiles, but the missiles are absent;
- In the Azov Sea, there are no enemy ships;
- In the Mediterranean Sea, there are eight enemy ships, three of which are carriers of the 'Caliber' cruise missiles and can launch up to 26 missiles.
Also, over the past day, Russia has made movements through the Kerch Strait:
- to the Black Sea - five vessels, two of which continued moving towards the Bosphorus Strait;
- to the Azov Sea - four vessels, none of which moved from the Bosphorus Strait.
It has already been 1046 days of a full-scale war in Ukraine.
