Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today, let's remember Andrii Chervuk.

27-year-old soldier Andrii Volodymyrovych Chervuk was considered missing since August 2024. His death was confirmed on April 4 of this year. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the Rivne City Council.

Andrii Chervuk was born on May 26, 1997, in the city of Rivne. He studied at Rivne Secondary School No. 8 and later continued his education at the technical college of NUVGP.

Before the full-scale war, he worked in security. In April 2024, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Andrii had an active life position and was an exceptionally talented athlete. He played baseball, was part of the national baseball team of Ukraine, a master of sports, and a multiple champion of Ukraine. He participated in international competitions.

Relatives recall that he was unafraid of anything, had a strong spirit, was sincere, and a bright young man. He regarded his service as a duty that he could handle.

'Unfortunately, since August 2024, soldier Andrii Chervuk was considered missing. Only on April 4, 2025, DNA testing confirmed that the body evacuated from the battlefield belonged to 27-year-old soldier Andrii Chervuk,' the Rivne City Council reported.

The hero fell on August 6, 2024, in Luhansk region.

The farewell to the defender of Ukraine took place on April 10, 2025, at Independence Square in Rivne. The warrior was buried in the village of Novoukrainka.

'Glavkom' joins the moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for the Motherland. We remember those who fell at the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of remembrance, and bow our heads in sorrow during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military, civilians, and children, all who perished in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the attack by enemy forces on Ukrainian cities and villages.
