Hidden among the rocks and forests - a unique lagoon in Transcarpathia.

Amidst the Carpathian mountains lies a natural wonder - a lagoon surrounded by cliffs and ancient forests. This place amazes tourists with its clear turquoise waters and fairy-tale atmosphere.
Why the Blue Lagoon is so special
The lagoon is located 8 kilometers from the village of Chornogolova in the Uzhhorod district. Despite the need to trek several kilometers, your efforts will be rewarded manifold.
Here, you can enjoy the waterbody with clear turquoise waters, which forms a waterfall in the Lyuta River. The lagoon is situated among picturesque cliffs and dense forests.
In ancient times, when Transcarpathia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, a railway was laid near the lagoon. Even now, remnants of the tracks can be found there.
The route to the lagoon begins in the village of Chornogolova. You need to cross the Lyuta River and turn right past the pavilions. Walk to the reserve, and the road signs will lead you to the Blue Lagoon.
We remind you that earlier we wrote about interesting landmarks in Ukraine. We also told about a beautiful lake located 18 km from Zhytomyr.
The natural beauty of the Blue Lagoon in the Carpathian mountains leaves tourists captivated by its uniqueness and charm. Visiting this place is a great way to enjoy nature and escape the city's hustle and bustle.Read also
