Zelensky named the new head of the Academy of Ground Forces.


The new head of the Academy of Ground Forces will be Commander Roman Kachur
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the former commander of the 55th artillery brigade, Colonel Roman Kachur, will become the new head of the Academy of Ground Forces. He revealed this in his address on Sunday.
According to the president's announcement, Kachur's candidacy received the most votes in the 'Army+' survey. Zelensky emphasized that the new head is tasked with conducting an audit of the institution and developing a plan for changes in military education.
Roman Kachur is a well-known military figure. He was born in Sumy and graduated from the military institute of missile troops and artillery. After the onset of the war between Russia and Ukraine, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in various positions, including commanding the 55th artillery brigade.
Zelensky stressed that Ukraine needs high-quality training for military personnel, especially officers, taking into account the experiences of this war. He also noted the importance of forming strong and competent leaders in the Ukrainian army.
