Zelensky Listened to the Report of the New Minister of Defense.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, July 18, listened to the report of the new Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal. He drew attention to the audit of agreements that require the rapid signing of contracts.
Shmyhal's Report
According to the president, a practical audit of agreements is already underway that require the quick signing of contracts for drones, in particular, interceptor drones.
“I instructed to urgently finalize all relevant contracts for drones needed by our Armed Forces of Ukraine,”
Zelensky and Shmyhal also discussed ensuring diplomatic strikes — the frequency of Ukrainian strikes and priority tasks. The president expressed gratitude to all involved units for their accuracy.
Key Work Priorities
On Monday, the new minister will present a specific program of work for the Ministry of Defense and key priorities that will be implemented in the short term — in the coming weeks, and medium-term — over the next six months.
Denys Shmyhal has already outlined three key areas of work in his position as Minister of Defense and held his first meeting after being appointed at the Ministry of Defense, which addressed the main tasks.
During the meeting between the president and the new minister of defense, important issues regarding national security and future plans were discussed. Agreements on the signing of contracts for drones and other military equipment are one of the priority matters the government is currently working on. The disclosure of specific priorities and the program of work for the minister of defense is an important stage in creating an effective defense strategy for the country.Read also
