The death toll from Hurricane Helen in the USA is steadily increasing.

The death toll from Hurricane "Helen" in the USA has risen to 128 people, reports CNN.
The hurricane caused catastrophic destruction in several states, including Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina. Millions of people were left without electricity, and communities were destroyed. The greatest number of fatalities were in North Carolina, where more than 50 people died due to flooding in the interior areas of the state.
In South Carolina, 30 people died, in Georgia - 25, in Florida - 11, in Tennessee - 4, and in Virginia - 2. Experts warn that the death toll may rise as hundreds of people are considered missing. Many affected areas are cut off from the outside world due to destroyed infrastructure. The lack of essential resources such as water and food complicates the recovery process.
Government bodies and humanitarian services are trying to deliver aid, but destroyed infrastructure hinders access to affected areas. This greatly complicates rescue operations.
Let us recall that Hurricane "Helen" caused significant destruction in the southern USA, taking the lives of at least 35 people.
