The Ministry of Education canceled the order regarding distance learning - what does it mean.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has made changes to orders regarding distance learning in schools. Order No. 1112 has been canceled, and the norms about the minimum number of students in distance classes and the education of internally displaced children have been removed from order No. 1115.
This was announced by the Ministry's press service on Friday, July 18.
Distance Learning in Ukraine
The ministry explained that the changes were made at the request of people's deputies and frontline communities.
A number of important provisions from these orders will remain in effect, which are significant for communities and the safety of children. The norms will be officially consolidated in a separate document after consultations with the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada and deputies.
What will change
The requirements for the number of students in distance classes will be the same as for in-person and blended learning - a class can be opened if there are at least five students.
Schools will also be able to create distance learning classes regardless of the presence of a full range of parallel classes.
Internally displaced children will be able to continue distance learning at their schools regardless of their location.
'Importantly: these decisions will not lead to the cessation of distance schools'- emphasized the Ministry.
What will remain as it was
The norm regarding the mandatory presence of a shelter in the educational institution or nearby remains in effect for in-person and blended learning forms.
Educational institutions operating in temporarily occupied territories and areas controlled by the state may function even if they cannot open classes. There, teachers work with children under pedagogical patronage, ensuring an individual approach and safety.
Children who are abroad will continue to have the opportunity to study under a full or shortened program in distance classes.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, stated that distance learning will not be canceled as the safety of children is the main priority.
In addition, the Ministry has approved the updated list of educational tools for the subject 'Defense of Ukraine' - children will be trained to operate FPV drones.
After consultations with the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada and the relevant committee, some norms regarding distance learning will be transferred to a separate document. Changes were implemented at the request of people's deputies and frontline communities, but important aspects will remain unchanged for communities and the safety of children.Read also
