Obtaining Polish driving licenses for Ukrainians in Poland
Ukrainians who are in Poland have received a detailed instruction on the procedure for obtaining Polish driving licenses. The process consists of three main stages and requires compliance with certain requirements.
As reported by the portal 'Ukrainians in Poland', the first step to obtain a category B driving license is checking compliance with the basic requirements. The candidate must be at least 18 years old, legally residing in Poland, and have a PESEL number, official registration, or a rental agreement.
The next stage involves obtaining a special PKK number, which stands for 'Profil Kandydata na Kierowcę'. For this, it is necessary to contact the local office of communications at the residence and submit the appropriate application.
The document package includes a passport or another identification document, a medical certificate, and a photo size of 3.5 by 4.5 centimeters. The medical certificate can be issued directly at the driving school for 200 zlotys. The PKK number is issued within one working day after the submission of documents.
The third and final stage is to undergo training at an official driving school. The program includes 30 hours of theoretical classes, where traffic rules and the basics of first aid are studied, as well as 30 hours of practical driving lessons. After completing the course, candidates take the internal driving school exam, which includes both theoretical and practical parts.
